Set of 6 Nylon Brushes – 3 Shapes to Choose From

This set includes six brushes of progressive sizes, from No. 2 to No. 12. It allows you to transition from fine details to larger areas while maintaining the same tip shape throughout the creation.

The synthetic nylon fibers are flexible, uniform, and easy to clean. The birch wood handles provide a light grip, while the aluminum ferrules hold the fibers in place during work.

Three shapes are available separately: round for lines and details, angled for corners and precise strokes, or flat rounded for applying color and softening contours.

AVAILABLE SHAPES

Round Tip
Suitable for lines, outlines, details, curves, and small touches of color. Varying the pressure allows for lines of different widths.

Angled Tip
Allows for working on corners, edges, geometric shapes, and strokes whose thickness varies during the gesture.

Flat Rounded Tip
Suitable for applying color, soft shapes, petals, transitions, and contours that are less rigid than with a flat straight brush.

FEATURES

• Sizes included: No. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12
• Fibers: Two-tone synthetic nylon
• Handles: Birch wood
• Ferrules: Aluminum

USE

The different sizes allow you to maintain the same brush tip shape throughout your work. Use smaller numbers for details and narrow areas, then larger sizes for broader shapes, backgrounds, and flat washes.

These brushes can be used with watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paint. To avoid unintentional mixing, it is advisable to reserve certain brushes for light colors and others for dark shades.

CARE

Rinse brushes immediately after use with lukewarm water. Add a mild soap if necessary, then gently reshape the tips with your fingers.

Let them dry flat. Avoid soaking them vertically in water, as this can deform the fibers and weaken the ferrule or handle.

FOR WHOM

This set is suitable for people who want to have multiple sizes of the same brush shape. It allows you to gradually complete your equipment according to the strokes and effects desired.

PAIR WITH

Pair these brushes with Supervision watercolor pigments to work on transparencies, layering, and dilution variations.

A ceramic palette also allows you to prepare colors and more easily control the amount of water or paint loaded into the fibers.

IKANE STUDIO TIP

Before first use, lightly rinse the fibers then wring them out on a clean cloth. To preserve the tip, do not let paint dry near the ferrule and only store brushes once completely dry.
