This set includes 5 painting knives designed for working with material, applying impasto, creating textures, and spreading color directly onto canvas, panel, or palette.
Each shape allows for a different stroke: applying a thick load, smoothing an area, scratching out a rework, mixing color, opening up a texture, or building more organic passages than with a brush.
The stainless steel blades offer useful flexibility for varying pressure. The wooden handles ensure a stable grip during prolonged sessions with oil paint, acrylic, texture pastes, or mixed media.
INFORMATION
Palette knives allow you to work with paint as a material to be moved, rather than just a color to be applied. They are useful for creating thick surfaces, edges, scraped effects, raw transitions, or visible textures.
The set allows you to alternate between several widths depending on the area being worked on: textured background, relief detail, edge of a shape, mixing on a palette, or localized rework.
Unlike a brush, a palette knife does not seek to completely smooth the mark. It reveals the strokes, pressures, material breaks, and scraped areas.

USE & CARE
Use small palette knives for details, rework, edges, and small touches of material. Reserve larger ones for flat areas, impasto, and large textured areas.
To mix colors, work directly on a palette or suitable surface. To create texture, apply the material in several passes rather than immediately overloading the canvas.
After use, remove excess paint before drying, then clean the blade according to the medium used. Thoroughly dry the steel and avoid letting the wooden handles soak in water.

Alternating sizes during a single session prevents the surface from becoming too uniform. A wide blade lays down the material, then a finer blade opens up details, breaks up an overly smooth area, or reworks a texture.
