Compact Bamboo Tea Tray – Water Collection and Gong Fu Cha Preparation
This compact bamboo tea tray allows you to prepare, rinse, and serve tea without cluttering your table. Its small size is suitable for small surfaces, desks, coffee tables, or minimalist preparation areas.
The grooved surface allows water to flow into the integrated lower compartment. The tray thus collects excess water used to rinse leaves, cups, gaiwan, or the teapot during preparation.
Bamboo offers a light, stable, and easy-to-move surface for daily use. Material shades, grooves, and finishes may vary slightly depending on the production batch.
INFORMATION
This tray is designed for small-batch tea preparations, especially practices inspired by gong fu cha, where leaves are rinsed, several short infusions are poured, and cups are handled regularly.
The water collection system helps keep the table cleaner during serving. Water flows through the top grooves, then collects in the hidden lower compartment of the tray.
Its compact size is suitable for people who want to prepare tea without setting up a large tray. It keeps essentials within reach: cup, gaiwan, leaves, accessories, and rinsing water.
CHARACTERISTICS
Material: bamboo
Type: tea tray with water collection
Dimensions: approximately 27 × 14 cm
Usage: tea preparation, gong fu cha, rinsing leaves, serving cups, tea table
USE & CARE
Place the gaiwan, teapot, or cups on the grooved surface. Small excess water from rinsing or serving flows into the integrated reservoir.
After preparation, empty the water collection compartment, then wipe the tray with a soft cloth. Avoid leaving water stagnant in the structure for too long.
Allow the bamboo to dry completely before storage. Avoid prolonged soaking, abrasive sponges, and direct exposure to strong heat sources to preserve the material.
TO PAIR WITH
To prepare short infusions and serve directly on the tray, it can be paired with the
stoneware gaiwan with two cups.
To handle leaves, organize accessories, and complement a gong fu cha-inspired tea table, it can also be supplemented with the
engraved bamboo tea utensil set.
🤍 Ikane workshop tip
