Nomad artist box – portable studio for writing and drawing

This compact box allows you to bring together a notebook, a few pencils, pens, and small tools for drawing or writing away from the studio.

Once opened, the lid forms an adjustable stand for working on a notebook or small sheet of paper. Inside, clips and elastic bands keep your tools separated and minimize movement during transport.

With dimensions of 22 × 15 × 6 cm, it is designed for a minimal set of equipment: a few select tools rather than a full pencil case.

INFORMATION

The various elastic bands allow you to organize pencils, pens, and small accessories without letting them loose in the box. Place your most frequently used tools in the most accessible slots.

The lid is designed as a compact support. Always check that your notebook or paper remains stable before you begin drawing or writing.

SPECIFICATIONS
  • Material: resin with wood-effect finish
  • Dimensions: 22 × 15 × 6 cm
  • Internal storage: 2 clips, 5 elastic loops, and 3 elastic bands
  • Lid: adjustable stand
  • Use: drawing, sketching, writing, and note-taking
CURATING YOUR KIT

For drawing, start with two or three pencils, an eraser, and a closed pencil sharpener. For writing, one main pen and a secondary tool are usually sufficient.

Avoid filling every slot simply because it is available. A minimal kit leaves more room for your notebook and allows you to find the tool you need immediately.

USE & CARE

Ensure that tips and metal parts do not rub directly against your notebook during transport.

This box is primarily intended for dry materials. Avoid open containers, brushes that are still damp, or ink holders that might leak.

Regularly remove dust from graphite, charcoal, or pencil, and then clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

PAIR WITH

To add a few dry drawing tools without cluttering the box, use these white charcoal pencils .

To carry multiple line widths in a small format, add the set of 9 black technical pens .

For a color-oriented kit, select just a few shades from the set of 50 metallic colored pencils rather than carrying the whole set.

♥ IKANE STUDIO TIP

Curate your kit, close the box, and then reopen it after a few outings: any tool you never ended up using can likely stay back at the studio.
