Box of 50 metallic coloured pencils
Set of 50 metallic colored pencils
This set includes fifty metallic colored pencils for dry drawing. Their appearance is particularly striking on black, kraft, beige, gray, or colored papers, where the reflections stand out more than on a white surface.
The colors can be used alone or as highlights over graphite, charcoal, or pencil drawings: contours, patterns, luminous details, and colorful accents.
The effect obtained varies depending on the pressure, the grain of the paper, and the color of the background. A light layer remains subtle; several passes increase the density and the reflection.
INFORMATION
On dark paper, the reflective particles create a sharper contrast. On white paper, the color remains visible but the metallic effect is generally more subtle.
The grain of the paper also changes the coverage: a smooth surface provides a more uniform deposit, while a pronounced grain allows more of the base material to show through between passes.
These pencils are for dry use and are not water-soluble.

USE & CARE
Test the color first on a scrap of the same paper. A shade can change significantly depending on the color and grain of the surface.
Work in light layers and then superimpose passes to increase density. This method provides more control than applying heavy pressure on the first layer.
Sharpen the lead without exposing a point that is too long to limit breakage. Store pencils away from impacts, which can crack the lead inside the wooden body.
PAIR WITH
To work on a warm, lightly tinted background, use the black sketchbook with beige paper . The beige background makes the metallic highlights stand out without the intense contrast of black paper.
To build proportions, shadows, and values before adding metallic colors, use the graphite & charcoal drawing set – 39 pieces .

♥ IKANE STUDIO TIP
On dark paper, test the same color in one, two, then three layers. You will quickly see at what point the reflection becomes more pronounced without completely saturating the grain of the paper.
