Set of 6 oval natural hair brushes for watercolor & oil
This set includes six progressively sized brushes designed for watercolor and oil painting. Their oval shape with a tapered tip allows for alternation between precise strokes, soft contours, blending, and broader washes.
The tip can be used for detailing and fine lines, while the side of the brush head allows for applying more color, softening a transition, or shaping a form. The various sizes are suitable for both small areas and larger compositions.
The brushes feature brown natural hair heads, wooden handles with a burgundy finish, and metal ferrules. The set allows for creating a coherent assortment directly without purchasing each size separately.
INFORMATION
The oval shape combines a wider central part and a tapered tip. By changing the inclination and pressure, the brush allows for switching from a fine line to a wider stroke without changing tools.
Small sizes are suitable for contours, details, and localized touch-ups. Intermediate and large sizes allow for working on shapes, blending, washes, and transitions between several colors.

USE & MAINTENANCE
For watercolor, moisten the brush head before picking up color. Use the tip for details and gradually tilt the brush to widen the stroke or work on a blend.
For oil painting, first remove excess material with a cloth, then clean the brush head with a suitable product before finishing with a mild soap.
Gently reshape the tip after cleaning and let the brushes dry flat. Avoid leaving them soaking vertically in water or solvent to preserve the bristles, ferrule, and handle.

IKANE WORKSHOP TIP
If possible, reserve different brushes for watercolor and oil painting. The cleaning methods and material residues are not the same, and this separation helps preserve the suppleness of the brush heads for longer.
